wait differently

As I reflect on 2024, I’m reminded of the boundless grace provided by the Creator. The past year wasn’t great, but it wasn’t terrible either—it just was. If I’m being honest, this year felt both overwhelmingly long and surprisingly short, all at once. With its peaks and valleys, its twists and turns, the only constant was inconsistency.
Unlike years before, I made a deliberate effort to dive deeper into introspection and seek wisdom about what truly matters in this chaotic world we live in. My Virgo mind, with its constant analyzing, strategizing, and overthinking, can be my greatest gift, but it can also be my biggest challenge. I often find myself lost in endless thoughts: Why do I care so much? Why am I so hard on myself? Will I ever achieve the success I strive for? Have I done enough?
With all of these questions swirling in my mind, the Creator still blessed me with the grace to just be: to be alive, to be healthy, to be loved, to be thankful. In a world that pressures us to do more and be more, I’ve come to understand that sometimes simply being is enough. It’s in these moments of stillness where I have been taught a profound lesson—there’s wisdom in the waiting. If you’re reading this, you’ve made it through another year, which means you are living proof that the Creator has more in store for you and your journey.
As we step into 2025, I encourage you to not only be, but to be more: be more alive, be more loving, be more creative, and be more grateful. Life is a series of moments, and each one brings a chance to reflect, grow, and move forward with intention. And as you do, always remember: When you trust that God is never late, you begin to wait differently.
